Ingredients

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20) Use high-fat content for juiciness.
Buns and Toppings
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns Toasted, for added flavor.
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese Optional, for cheeseburgers.
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded.
  • 1 medium Tomato Sliced.
  • 1/2 cup Pickles Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup For serving.
  • 1/4 cup Mustard For serving.

Method

Prepare the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape them into balls without overworking the meat.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Preheat the griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the meat balls on the hot surface and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
  2. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip and add cheese if desired. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the griddle until golden brown. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, then adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  2. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
