Potatoes
  • 2 pounds starchy potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups Gruyère cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer the potato slices in the baking dish, pouring some cream mixture over each layer and sprinkling Gruyère cheese in between.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
